Abstract:

30 Strains of fungi separated from water and mud in Huguang Lake were screened and identified in term of the morphological characteristics and their antibacterial activity were determined in term of the cup-plate method. The results showed that there were 15 strains of Penicillium,4 strains of Aspergillus,4 strains of Saccharomyces,2 strains of Trichoderma, 1 strain of Mucor,1 strain of Gliocladium,1 strain of Rhizopus. And 11 strains showed antibacterial activity, among which 9 strains showed activity towards Stphylococcus aureus;1 strain showed activity towards Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis;and 1 strain showed activity toward Escherichia coli. Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus subtilis.
