Site: Banyan Garden

This Banyan Tree Garden was built in the 1970s of the last century. The works of group sculpture called “The Foolish Old Man Removing the Mountains” was made in memory of the victorious completion as accomplished in building up sea-blocking dam nearby East Sea Island in 1958 un- der the leadership of Zhanjiang Communist Party Committee and Municipal Government. In Banyan Tree Garden，trees are so thick with leaves that they block the sunlight and at the same time, bring cooling air along and clear away heart-fire. With such a wonderful natural beauty of lakes and mountains, there are no visitors but that they are desirous to come back again to enjoy the unforgettable scenery here.
